San Ramon Man, 26, Dies in Plane Crash
Matthew Moody was surveying gas pipes for PG&E on Tuesday when his plane crashed from engine failure.
A 26 year-old man from San Ramon died in a plane crash outside of Chico on Tuesday morning.
Matthew Moody passed away with another person when the small plane they were in crashed sometime after 11:30 a.m. on August 15. The two, who worked for Frontline Energy Services, were doing contract work for PG&E over Hamlin Canyon in Butte County.
The plane burned away by the time Cal Fire got down to it, creating a vegetation fire that lasted for hours, according to an article that appeared in the Chico Enterprise-Record.
