Everybody Loves A Parade In Danville

Line up on Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Boulevard to get a good view of Thursday's July 4 parade.

Make sure you get a good viewing spot for Danville's annual Fourth of July Parade.

This year's parade will feature horses and other animals, bands, gymnasts, antique cars and more. Enjoy a cool drink and something to snack on while you boogie to the music.

The parade starts at 9 a.m. and continues to 2:30 p.m. The parade route runs from the corner of Hartz Avenue and Railroad Avenue, continues down Hartz and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, and ends at the corner of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Sycamore Valley Road.

The National Weather Service's Bay Area division warns that our current heatwave will continue through July 4, so take precautions against heatstroke. Wear a hat and sunblock, stay hydrated and seek out cool spots when possible.
