Free Subs at New Downtown Sub Shop

Jersey Mike's Subs officially opened their doors August 7, with a unique grand entrance: free subs.

The Jersey Shore-style sub franchise, located at 301 Hartz Ave., will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Taylor Family Foundation. 

The fundraiser runs until Sunday, Aug. 11, and benefits children in Northern California living with life-threatening and chronic illnesses and other developmental disabilities.

"It only took one sandwich for us to all agree that Jersey Mike’s offers the most authentic sub out there,” said Bennett Ball, one of the business partners in the new Danville Location (which already has Yelp reviews).

The company started in 1956 at the Jersey Shore now boasts over 750 locations throughout the country.

Customers can order any sub à la "Mike's Way," which adds a signature olive blend, onions, lettuce, tomato, vinegar and spices.
