I find myself at 42 years old and being a stay- at-home dad the most challenging and often rewarding job of my life. Circumstances in our life's made it where I could be with Xan. As I am the one home in the day I will say it here first..."HATS OFF TO STAY AT HOME MOMS!" They are under-appreciated and most people will never feel the pain of all they actually do. It is not a easy job being first on the scene for all injuries, feedings, potty times, play times and everything else on a day to day basis. As the guy who gets to be lucky enough to stay home with my son I get lots of blessings to. I get to see things most dads miss. I have been able to encourage and help my son in things he enjoys. I have been able to appreciate childhood in ways I never thought possible again. Things as adults we take for granted I can see through his eyes. I don't think most people stop to notice the simplicity and beauty of 'rocks' but my three year old does. He is excited to show me and share with me. I have got to see and feel the excitement of snowfall, rain, sunshine and moon. He has helped make things around me fresh and he certainly keeps me active. I thank god for our son everyday and all the blessings he has brought into our lifes.
