Stone Valley Middle School is one of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District's nine middle schools. It is a California Distinguished and National Blue Ribbon school with a current enrollment of 655 students. Under the leadership of principal Shaun McElroy, the school's mission is "to promote physical, intellectual, emotional and social development as measured by school, district and state expectations." Its "community support system will guide each student to achieve his/her full potential," according to the mission statement.
