Volunteers Needed to Fill Vacancies on Town Committees, Commissions

There are several vacancies for two and four-year terms for commissions, councils and committees for the Town of Danville.

From The Town of Danville:

The Town of Danville is looking for community-minded residents to fill vacancies on several different Town Committees/Commissions. The openings include:

Planning Commission:  5 members - 4-year terms

Heritage Resource Commission:  2 members - 4-year terms

Design Review Board:  2 members - 4-year terms

Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging:  1 member – 2-year term

CCTA Citizens Advisory Committee:  1 member - 2-year term

County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee:  1 member - 2-year term

Terms begin January 1, 2012

Applications are available on the Town’s website, www.danville.ca.gov.  Applications are due on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11 a.m.

Interviews will take place on December 11 or 18, 2012. The Town Council will appoint Commissioners at their December 18 meeting.

My Junior at SRVHS is in the guinea pig class for the new curriculum. The new curriculum started with AP Biology this year and it has been a disappointment. Parents, including myself, really need to educate ourselves on this. I thought this was a State program not a Fed program. Great...
