Rotary Club Set to Launch Handyman Program for Seniors

Senior citizens have new resource for household needs.

For senior citizens who need help with basic household chores, help is on the way.

The Danville/Sycamore Valley Chapter of Rotary International is beginning a new program that will offer assistance to area seniors in need of a helping hand.

Beginning Nov. 5, the Rotary HOME Team will make two-person volunteer teams available on Saturday mornings for assistance with odd jobs around the house. The volunteers will help with tasks such as changing batteries in smoke alarms as well as fixing leaking faucets, squeaky doors or blown fuses.
