Most area residents remember January 20, 2009 when 17 year old Rylan Fuchs was shot on his front porch in Danville and died. Four years plus have passed but the concluding arguments in the murder trial will be given this Friday in Martinez. If you were outraged by this murder, and want to show support for the family, please consider coming. Please also spread the word. Following are the particulars:
Friday May 10th - 10:00am-4:30pm
1020 Ward St.
3rd floor, Dept (room 30)
Court will begin at 10am with instructions to the jurors. At approximately 11am, the D.A. will begin her closing arguments. I was told this could take up to three hours (no way of knowing). The lunch break is usually 12:30-1:30 so not sure how that will be handled. The defense attorney will then give his closing argument, then the D.A. will respond. Court is adjourned at 4:30pm if not sooner. Please allow time to get through security.
Parking can be tight and everything is metered so bring quarters. Also check the length of time allowable on the meters. There are municipal lots that are up to 10 hours. Please keep Rylan's family in your prayers.
