Red-Shouldered Hawk Visits Danville Creek

Danville Patch reader Donna Nicholas snapped a picture of a Red-shouldered Hawk perched above Danville Creek.

Donna Nicholas sent us this picture she took on July 10 of a Red-shouldered Hawk perched above Danville Creek.

She told is she took it with her Canon 60D.

"It was the best shot of about 50 of them that I took," she said. "He was flying low down the creek, behind the Danville Court Apartments and I saw it land in a nearby tree. I am always out by the creek hoping to spot one and it was my lucky day!"
