Canary Challenge
The second annual Canary Challenge is a fully supported bike ride, offering 50-kilometer, 75-kilometer, 100-mile rides — all with multiple food and water stops, mechanical and medical assistance, and plenty of SWAG. The rides cater to all levels of cycling strength — from fixed gear bikes and tandems, to time trial champions; the Canary Challenge is a ride for everyone! 100% of funds raised in 2012 Canary Challenge will be donated to the Stanford Cancer Institute (SCI) to benefit cancer research and innovative supportive care programs. SCI is a world recognized institution for its advanced clinical care, scientific research and technological inventions, and is a National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Center. The second annual Canary Challenge is hosted by Canary Foundation.
Canary Foundation is the world’s first non-profit organization dedicated solely to the funding, discovery, and development of tests for early cancer detection. Since 2004, Canary has raised over $41.5 million to support early detection research. Its collaborative research programs span multiple disciplines and institutions, including a partnership with Stanford's School of Medicine. For more information, please visit www.canaryfoundation.org.
