Connie Mack baseball: Hoots Advance to West Regional Semifinals

Danville Hoots beat Seattle Shockers 3-1 to stay alive.

The Hoots won 2-1 against Seattle Shockers in a tough 10 inning game at the Connie Mack West Regional at the University of Washington. Four teams remain as the Hoots play on Saturday in the semifinals.

Nick Piscotty pitched 7 very strong innings, with eight strikeouts and only one walk, four hits and one run. Steven Moen led the Hoots offense with a game-tying double and Scotty Mitchell got the game-winning RBI in top of 10th inning.

The Hoots play at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday to advance to championship game for berth in Connie Mack World Series.
