All-Star Tournament Honors Danville's Joey Moore

Little League All-Stars from the Tri-Valley and San Ramon Valley gathered Saturday at Osage Park for a beautiful day of baseball that honors a little boy from Danville who loved the game.

Joey Moore had just turned 9 as the All-Star games ended the summer of 2001 when he was killed in a car accident.

The tournament has become a remembrance of him and a way to honor the game as Joey did, according to family members who passed out fliers about the little boy, who "everyone considered their best friend."

The tournament, featuring the best youth players from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville, continues through
Thursday.
