San Ramon Valley High Students Sign Letters of Intent for Sports Scholarships

Nine students have been given sports scholarships to colleges around the country.

Student athletes from Danville's San Ramon Valley High School have been awarded sports scholarships to colleges throughout the country.

Feb. 6 was "National Letter of Intent" signing day and nine Danville students received scholarships for soccer and football.

Athletic Director John Raynor sent out a note of congratulations to parents this week and recognized signees during a ceremony at lunch on Wednesday.

Raynor wrote, in an email:

"This special day is for a very few number of student athletes across the country. It is reserved for those student-athletes who will receive an athletic scholarship."

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Alyssa Alarab: soccer scholarship to UCLA
  • Matt Anderson: football scholarship to UC Berkeley
  • Cameron Birse: football scholarship to Arkansas State
  • Ryan Dunn: football scholarship to University of Arizona 
  • Morgan Idso: soccer scholarship to UC Santa Barbara             
  • Hannah Koski: soccer scholarship to UC Berkeley                               
  • Makenna Kummer: soccer scholarship to UC Santa Barbara                
  • Megan Turner: soccer scholarship to Stanford                                           
  • Alexis Vandevanter: soccer scholarship to UC Berkeley
