Photo Gallery: The Vinh Son Orphans of Kon Tum, Vietnam

Art teacher Tricia Grame and her husband Richard traveled to the Kon Tum province of Vietnam to bring art into the kids lives. These are some of the photos.

art teacher started a project called Art Pals. It's like pen pals, but using art.

She had her art class create stories and drawings on blank postcards for orphans at a Vinh Son Orphanage in the Kon Tum province of Vietnam, about 375 miles north of Ho Chi Ming City.

Grame then took the postcards to the orphanage, gave them to the children there, and helped them create their own cards for the students back at Pine Valley.

The project, Grame said, put smiles on the faces of the orphans and perspective in the lives of her students at Pine Valley. Read about that story .

This is a photo gallery of Grame's time in Kon Tum, as shot by her husband Richard Grame.

Correction: In a previous story, Richard Grame was misidentified. This version of the story corrects that error.
