Spring practice has started for the Bears. The team will spread out 15 practices over the next five weeks. It will end with a scrimmage match on April 21.
We've been keeping an eye on Cal this season because of Zach Kline, a standout QB from . Kline committed to Cal his junior year and graduated early from SRV in order to make it to Cal's spring practices.
The San Francisco Chronicle recently reported about spring practices, saying this about Kline:
Cal fans clamoring for a look at the other Zach, Kline, will have to be patient. Tedford is not about to rush his prized freshman from Danville's San Ramon Valley High School. As it is, Kline is gaining valuable experience being enrolled at Cal when he could be enjoying the end of his senior year of high school.
"We want to be careful not to put too much pressure on him," Tedford said. "He's a talent. He's working really hard. You can put too much pressure on a kid early. I want him to concentrate on what he's doing. He's a very good player, there's no doubt about it, but he's going to go through the paces."
