Monte Vista Senior Athletic Standouts Honored, Headed for College Sports

Of the 507 graduated Monte Vista seniors, 33 are moving on to compete in collegiate sports.

honored 33 seniors on Thursday for standout performances in athletics as well as moving on to compete at the collegiate level.

Seniors from swimming to track to football to soccer were honored in a ceremony hosted by Larry Beil, sports anchor for ABC Channel 7, as well as Monte Vista's principal Janet Terranova and the school's athletic Director Craig Bergman.

"I'm very excited for our young men and woman who will be moving on to play intercollegiate athletics," Bergman said. "We wish them nothing but the best and look forward to following their collegiate careers."
