is hoping to improve its athletic storage facilities but it needs your help.
The school has entered the Rock UR Athletic Storage contest, hosted by Spacesaver, for a chance to win an athletic storage system plus installation valued up to $30,000.
The contest is open to any K-12 school in the United States.
To enter, a faculty member or administration of the school must submit photos and a 100 words summary of why that school needs the equipment. Head football coach Mark Kessler submitted this:
My name is Mark Kessler. I was named the head football coach in June 2009. I took over for a coach that had served for 18 years. In doing so, I found that much of our equipment was outdated. My first task as head football coach was to relocate our equipment due to construction. This relocation has occurred eight times in the past three years. I have finally secured a "permanent" spot for our equipment. In doing so, I have acquired three sheds that have no shelving; so all equipment must be stacked on top of each other. Every time we need to access training equipment, we need to move equipment simply to access and then return all items to stacks in the container. We are in dire need of storage solutions, but unable to purchase what we need! Like all high school athletic teams in the country, money is needed to provide safety equipment, uniforms, and financial assistance to those families that can't afford the costs of athletic equipment. We hope that you will consider SRV in this contest and we thank your for assisting any program in need.
You can vote for San Ramon Valley High School here but you must log into Facebook to do so. Voting ends May 1.
Good luck Wolves!
