In their first varsity match-up this season, Cal High Grizzlies and San Ramon Valley Wolves women's soccer finished with a 2-2 tie.
California High School scored its two goals by half-time in Tuesday's game at SRVHS.
So for San Ramon, it was a second-half battle-back -- with two goals scored by the Wolves' Alexa Vandavanter and Summer Stamates.
Both teams, said a parent, are looking forward to the rematch.
The next game for the San Ramon Valley team is tonight, at home, against Foothill High School.
Grizzlies are up tonight, as well, at home, against Livermore High.
