Speakers Series and Scholarships

College Essay Scholarship Contest & Speaker Series

Exchange Club of San Ramon Valley presents the seventh annual College Essay Scholarship Contest with the topic "Federal and State Mandates–Discuss whether mandates by the government are an authorization to act or a command to be obeyed." A college scholarship for $1500 will be awarded to the first place winner, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place.

The speakers series will be held from 6:30-8 p.m., at the San Ramon Library, 100 Montgomery St. Contra Costa District Attorney Mark Peterson will speak on Wednesday, March 23; San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District Chief Richard Price on Monday, March 28; 15th District Assemblywoman Joan Buchanan on Thursday, April 14. Essays are due on Monday, May 2.
