Hospice 101

Danville Office of Home Care Assistance to Help Educate the Public About Hospice Options

Hospice plays an important role in the end-of-life process.  To help people better understand what Hospice provides, the Danville office of Home Care Assistance is offering a “Hospice 101” class.

Home Care Assistance offers services and classes to help local seniors enjoy improved healthspan alongside improved lifespan.  Its caregivers help clients focus on eating well, maintaining activities, and socializing with others.  The presence of a caregiver from Home Care Assistance can make it possible for people to age in the comfort of their own homes.  Because of their personal role in supporting clients, caregivers are often an integral part of a client’s support system near the end of life as well.  A caregiver can attend to someone’s physical needs, freeing family members to provide personal emotional support for the patient.
