Describe yourself in three words. Practical, kind and honest.

What has been the most challenging thing about high school? The biggest challenge is trying to juggle everything; I add too many things to my schedule. I was trying to split my time between sports — golf is my main sport, and I played football freshman year and tennis sophomore year — and had to juggle that with Interact Club and academic work.

What are your plans after graduation? I plan on going to UC Davis next year for international relations. I chose Davis because it was close to home and it’s really good for my major, and a big campus which I like, and I think it’s prestigious.

What are you looking forward to most in the future? I’m looking forward to going to college and being with people that share the same ideas as me and who are working towards the same goal that I want, and being able to focus on that.

Who has had the biggest influence on your life? I would say Deepa Willingham from PACE [Promise of Assurance for Children Everywhere] a nonprofit organization that promotes education for impoverished girls (He traveled to India with the organization in February 2010).  Ever since I saw her (Deepa Willingham) speak for the first time I went along that path and knew what I wanted to do for my future, which I never would have thought of before.
