Calling All Kids: Give an Hour to Danville-Based 'Packs With Love' This Week

Before the school year begins in San Ramon Valley, volunteers can spend an hour stuffing backpacks for kids who are homeless or in foster-care.

Volunteers are invited to join Packs with Love in the stuffing of backpacks with school supplies this Friday, August 16.

The generous labor will last from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and volunteers should expect an hour of fun.

Packs of Love, founded by Danville sisters Madi and Kinsey Mascali, donates gently used and new backpacks filled with school supplies like glue sticks, crayons, markers, notebooks and rulers, to kids in the Richmond School District, Shelter Inc. in Concord, a program called Teen Challenge in Oakland, the Open Arms orphanage in Mexico, and InnVision Shelters.

The event will be held at 651 Dunhill Drive in Danville.
