5-Star Swimming Recruit from Danville Chooses UCLA

Star swimmer for Carondelet and Danville resident Madison White has made her collegiate decision.

Madison White's home is in Danville but she lives in the water. She's been swimming since she was four years old and she's more than pretty good at it.

White, who will graduate from Carondelet in 2013, is considered a five-star recruit and the lucky college that gets her is UCLA. White made her decision last Friday, April 27, via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system.

"I got that gut feeling, kind of butterflies in my stomach, when I stepped on campus," White told Swimming World. "I absolutely love Cyndi (Gallagher, head coach), and she has been great with recruiting me. I like how the team is close to each other, and close to Cyndi, and that was really important."

White is also a member of the USA Swimming national youth team the Crow Canyon Sharks.
