Was Your Polling Place Like?

Some Albany polling spots drew crowds, while others seemed to stay quiet on Election Day. What did you see at the polls?

Nearly a dozen Albany residents chimed in on an Albany Patch Facebook page post Tuesday.

The question: "Was your polling place crowded or empty?"

"The Senior Center had enough voters to warrant a line this morning. One of the volunteers said she was surprised by such a large turnout so early," said commenter Colin Epstein.

Other commenters reported a seeing a crowd of voters in the morning at Albany Methodist on Marin, while the Solano Avenue Post Office and Memorial Hall appeared to be slow.

I dropped off my ballot at city hall this afternoon and was the only one there.

Thanks for letting us know, Peggy! I wonder what the post-workday polling places were like?

City Hall: clean, neat organized. We were the only two voters at about 11:00AM.

My polling place was absolutely lovely, filled with beautiful things and tasty treats. It was my home, where I filled out my absentee ballot, which I then dropped off at my polling place on the walk to my commute bus. No lines, no muss, no fuss.
