More Options for Trash, Recycling on the Way

The Danville Town Council recently moved forward on a capital improvement project that will bring more options for trash and recyclables downtown.

Keep an eye out for 110 new additions in downtown Danville.

Town council recently approved a contract and appropriated grant funds to bring 85 trash and 25 recycling receptacles to the downtown area.

The project, which went to Kalamazoo, Mich.'s Landscape Forms, is expected to cost $207,788. The town appropriated grant funds totaling $23,288 from the State of California Cal Recycle Program, a grant made solely for the purpose o recycle receptacles. The town also received an additional $25,000 from the Clearwater Program for the project. The remaining $159,500 was funded through the capital improvement program's general-purpose revenue.
