It's here! After more than a year and a half, the Veterans Memorial Building is about to crack open its doors to the public.
Danville Mayor Candace Andersen mentioned it during her but here's the official info:
April 27 will be a special opening for the veterans while a community-wide ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 28.
The exact details and festivities planned will be announced in the coming weeks, the Town said in a press release.
The project broke . It was to be completed late last year but, during the process of the more than $8.1 million renovation and construction project, it hit a few snags. Most notably, a , that resulted in an undisclosed amount of copper wiring, construction tools, and other items stolen from the property. Some damages were also reported.
