My name is Jim Jordon Jelincic. I am one of the seven people running for town council. I believe that our town would be better served if we eliminated the excessive amounts of money in local political campaigns. I chose early on to self-fund my campaign and to not accept contributions from individuals or special interest groups. I could have spent thousands of dollars on my campaign trying to convince you to vote for me, but I don’t think that it’s appropriate or necessary. Recent town council campaigns have spent as much as $24,000. The simple fact is, you shouldn’t be influenced by who has the largest and most signs or who bombards your mail box with the slickest brochures. Technology enables you to get past the propaganda. Look at the candidate web sites, read the blogs and on-line news articles, ask a neighbor, email us or even call us about your concerns. We’re all happy to hear from you. My web site and contact information can be found at www.JJJforDanvilleCA.com Danville is a great place to live. I encourage you to take advantage of our small town atmosphere coupled with technology to make it even better. Get to know the candidates before you vote them in for four years. I hope that after you review my background and stances, you’ll vote for me on November 6th. Thank you for your consideration. Jim
