Green Again: Canine Corral Dog Park to Reopen After Reseeding

The fencing around the reseeded areas will be removed on Aug. 5.

Due to the popularity of the Canine Corral Dog Park at Hap Magee Ranch Park, Town of Danville Maintenance staff undertook the reseeding of a section of the large dog area over the previous two months.

Maintenance Services Supervisor Dave Casteel said fencing will be removed around the section at the center of the large dog park on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 during routine maintenance. The area was re-seeded with the hardy Bermuda grass seed, which typically grows and establishes well during the summer months. The section will have been closed for a total of 9 weeks to allow the grass to become established.

It is anticipated that the work to remove the fencing and re-open the dog park will be completed by noon on August 5.
