Downtown Danville Streets to Close for Summerfest

Closures to begin early Saturday, go through Sunday evening

Downtown Danville will be a busy place this weekend as residents turn out for the annual Danville Summerfest, formerly known as the Danville Fine Arts Faire.  The event will cause the closure of several downtown streets, beginning early Saturday so that vendors will be able to set up their booths for the two-day event. 

Closed from 2:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 through 11:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, will be:

  • Hartz Avenue between Diablo Road and Hartz Way
  • Prospect Avenue between the Clock Tower Municipal Parking Lot entrance and Front St.
  • Church Street between Railroad Avenue and the entrance to the Village Theatre Parking Lot
  • School Street between Hartz Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

Both Front Street and Railroad Avenue will be open to through traffic as an alternate to Hartz Avenue.
