Dog Park Restoration to Begin at Hap Magee Ranch Park

Canine Corral Dog Park is getting a much-needed re-seeding.

Due to the popularity of the Canine Corral Dog Park at Hap Magee Ranch Park, Town of Danville Maintenance staff will be undertaking the re-seeding of a section of the large dog area over the next two months.

Maintenance Services Supervisor Dave Casteel said a section at the center of the large dog park will be fenced off Tuesday June 3, 2014 during routine maintenance. Crews will be re-seeding with the hardy Bermuda grass seed, which typically grows and establishes well during the summer months. The section is expected to remain closed for 8-10 weeks while the grass becomes established.

Residents are being encouraged to keep their pets outside of the fenced off section, in order to allow the new grass to become fully established.
