Danville to Offer Free Workshop on Social Media for Business

The event will be held on July 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Business owners in Danville are invited to come attend a Town-sponsored workshop on social media. The FREE  workshop will provide a hands-on approach to launching and maintaining social media sites for business.

The event, to be held at the Veterans Memorial Building (115 E. Prospect Avenue) on July 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. will offer separate break-out sections to focus on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.

“When the Town of Danville holds small business workshops about social media, the subject draws a broad cross-section of the town’s service businesses, retailers and restaurants,” said Jill Bergman, Economic Development Manager. “After the workshops, when we ask for feedback, we find that our small  business community is very interested in building their social media presence, but they lack the technical skills to launch their programs.”
