All the buzz: Danville hosts talks for seniors on new BART ticketing system, alternative medicine and more

The town hosts a series of talks on topics of interest to Danville area seniors.

As BART moves away from issuing paper discount tickets for seniors, the Town of Danville is hosting a special workshop next Tuesday where BART representatives will demonstrate and explain the transit system's new Clipper card system.

The BART staff will provide a brief overview of the system's transition to Clipper cards, which allows riders to access at least seven public transit services across the Bay Area.  At the presentation, BART staff will also register and issue cards to seniors. The cards will provide eligible seniors, 65 and older, the discounts they currently receive with the green paper cards.

The Clipper presentation takes place 9 to 11 a.m. at the Danville town meeting hall.
