Pedestrian Injured After Hit By Vehicle on Danville Boulevard

The accident happened at about 8 p.m. Wednesday as a 52-year-old Alamo woman was walking in the crosswalk.

A 52-year-old Alamo woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle hit her while she was crossing the street on Danville Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer John Fransen.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, in front of the Alamo Women's Club. Fransen said the woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a gray Volkswagen, driven by a 60-year-old Martinez man.

The driver stopped after the collision, and the accident is currently under investigation.

The woman was taken to Kaiser hospital in Walnut Creek.
