UPDATE: Vehicle Accident on Mt. Diablo's Summit Road, CALSTAR Requested

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District confirmed that there has been a vehicle accident on Summit Road in Mt. Diablo State Park and that an air rescue ambulance has been called.

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is responding to a vehicle accident on Summit Road in Mt. Diablo State Park.

The fire department dispatcher said she wasn't able to give out details but confirmed that CALSTAR, the California Shock Trauma Air Rescue, was called for assistance.

CALSTAR, as of 5:30 p.m., was on the ground according to the department's radio transmissions. Shortly after 5:30 p.m., CALSTAR was back in the air carrying one patient.
