A two-car collision in Danville Wednesday night blocked three lanes of Interstate Highway 680, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 8:29 p.m. near the Sycamore Valley Road offramp, the CHP said.
One person was taken to Kaiser Medical Center in Walnut Creek but the extent of their injuries was immediately clear, the CHP said.
The two vehicles involved sustained major damage.
