Traffic Advisory: Water Main Replacement on Diablo Road

TOWN RELEASE

Motorists are advised that an East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) project is scheduled to begin in downtown Danville on Monday Jan. 6, 2014.

EBMUD is replacing the 10-inch water main that runs along Diablo Road and Hartz Avenue. The replacement will be done in sections, necessitating some lane diversions as the work progresses.

Work on Jan. 6 will occur on Diablo Road between Front Street and Hartz Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.  During that time, one lane of traffic will be available in both directions through the project area.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra time in driving through the project area and use caution. Traffic control will be in place.

EBMUD is scheduled to complete the project by March 2014.

For more information on the replacement project, contact EBMUD Pipeline Construction and Maintenance Superintendent Kevin Hatch at (510) 287-0823 or khatch@ebmud.com
