What exactly happened that led these two individuals to flee Walnut Creek Police Friday evening is still unknown.

Two suspects, both male, committed some type of fraud in Walnut Creek and fled the city, Danville Police Chief Steve Simpkins said. The extent of the chase and the details surrounding it are still unknown. What is known is that an East Bay Regional Parks helicopter picked up the incident at some point and tracked the car traveling south on Interstate 680 and as it exited at El Cerro Boulevard, going east, in Danville. The car then made a right on Enterprise Drive and parked on Hornet Drive, about a mile from the Danville Police station.

The two suspects exited the vehicle and fled.

Simpkins said the EBRP helicopter radioed Danville for outside assistance as it was tracking the suspects' vehicle. Responding officers immediately put up a perimeter around the area and saturated it with officers. The suspects were originally unable to be located by Danville Police, Simpkins said.

Walnut Creek Police Department told Danville Patch that more information would be released later Friday evening.

A dispatcher at the department confirmed, "yes," when asked if everyone was all right.

At this time, no other descriptions of the suspects have been released.

Stay tuned as more information is made available.

Correction: A previous version of this story listed the two suspects as male and female as told to us by the Danville Police at the time of reporting. The suspects are both male. This version corrects that error.
