Street Name Signs Being Stolen in Danville

About eight street signs have been stolen in Danville in the last couple weeks, according to police.

Danville police are asking residents to keep a lookout for suspicious activity after a number of street name signs have been stolen in the last couple weeks, police chief Steve Simpkins said.

Simpkins said about eight signs have been stolen in neighborhoods throughout the town. The chief said the signs have no monetary value and believes they are being stolen for people to keep as mementos.

Danville police ask residents to not approach someone if they see suspicious behavior, but to contact the police department at 925-314-3700.
