I'm puzzled because I have been able to find no details of what happened in this case after the postponement. What happened on August 8? Is it possible that the case was simply quietly dropped? I'm sure I'm not the only person who really wishes that the Patch reporters - or indeed any news site - would publish an update.

Me, too, Jennifer! It occurred to me this morning to run a check and see if Smith is still licensed to practice law, but the California Bar's website isn't allowing me to find out when I enter his bar number. Surely the public has a right to know how justice is being delivered in the case of both Mr. Hu and Mr. Smith.
