Truck Driver Rams Storefront, Stealing Bicycle

A driver of a truck rammed through Danville Bike on Hartz Avenue late Saturday night in an attempt to steal bicycles.

Danville Bike was broken into late Saturday night, when a truck driver reversed his truck into the store in an attempt to steal bicycles, stealing one Trinity road bike valued at $5,000.

Danville Police are searching for the suspect who rammed a white Ford pickup, stolen from a parking lot on San Ramon Valley Boulevard, into the storefront of Danville Bike. Officers discovered the truck smashed into the storefront at about 6 a.m. Sunday.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the break-in should contact Danville Police Sgt. Allan Shields at (925) 314-3703.
