Police Log: Vandals Break Window; Woman Tries to Get Drugs From Hospital Illegally; Fireworks on the Fourth

A summary of notable incidents from the Danville Police log from July 4 to July 10.

Several instances of vandalism were reported, ranging from a minor report at The Crown to a report involving major damages at a home on Santiago Drive.  Residents all over Danville phoned in several fireworks disturbances and a few noise-related incidents on Independence Day.

Saturday, July 10

  • Vandalism was reported on the 300 block of Hartz Avenue at 2:13 a.m. at The Crown, a pub and restaurant. Someone vandalized the bathroom with a marker. The damage was estimated at $350.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 100 block of Santiago Drive at 8:59 a.m. A resident reported that two rocks were thrown through the front windows of his home, causing $4,500 in damage. There were no reported witnesses.
  • Vandalism was reported on El Pintado Road near I-680 northbound at 2:35 p.m.
  • A disturbance was reported on the 700 block of Diablo Road at 9:35 p.m.

Friday, July 9

  • A woman tried to obtain a prescription at Bay Valley Medical Group on the 300 block of Diablo Road but left the premises when staff members asked for her identification. Staff members found that she had attempted to obtain opiates with a fraudulent prescription several times and reported the incident to police at 10:58 a.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 500 block of Farnham Place at 2:04 p.m.
  • Officers were called to the 500 block of Blackstone Court at 8:59 p.m. because of noise disturbances and found approximately 30 juveniles partying.

Thursday, July 8

  • Residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of Briar Place at 6:46 a.m.
  • Identity theft was reported on the 200 block of Abigail Circle at 10:59 a.m.

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 200 block of Montego Drive at 6:39 a.m.

Tuesday, July 6

  • Commercial burglary was reported on the 300 block of Diablo Road at 6:05 a.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 600 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 12:04 p.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 700 block of Glen Road at 2:58 p.m.
  • Animal control was called to the intersection of Liverpool Street and Sutton Circle at 8:12 p.m.

Monday, July 5

  • Vandalism was reported on the 100 block of Del Amigo Road at 8:33 a.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 2100 block of Oneida Circle at 1:12 p.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 100 block of Elizabeth Lane at 3:37 p.m.

Sunday, July 4

  • Several disturbances were reported on July 4, including many fireworks-related incidents. The first reported disturbance was at 2:56 p.m. and involved juveniles on Front Street near East Linda Mesa Avenue. Another juvenile-related disturbance was reported on Entrada Mesa near Mary Court at 7:15 p.m. Also, loud music was reported on the 200 block of El Dorado Avenue at 7:38 p.m.
  • The first fireworks-related disturbance was reported at the intersection of Brookside Drive and Everett Drive at 7:50 p.m.  Fireworks disturbances were reported throughout the night, including ones at: Liverpool Street near Westwich Street at 8:35 p.m.; the 100 block of New Boston Court at 8:48 p.m.; Alice Court near Verona Avenue at 9:21 p.m.; the 1400 block of Harlan Drive at 9:32 p.m.; the 1000 block of La Gonda Way at 9:44 p.m.; the 1100 block of Sunshine Circle at 9:47 p.m.; the 100 block of San Paulo Court at 10:04 p.m.; the 300 block of Fontaine Drive at 10:13 p.m.; 100 block of Tivoli Lane at 10:27 p.m.; the 900 block of Blemer Road at 11:19 p.m.; and the 100 block of Verde Mesa Drive at 11:20 p.m.
