Police Log: Shots Fired on Old Orchard Drive, $3,000 Bicycle Test-Ride Turns Into Theft, Sup. Piepho Threatened

A summary of notable incidents from the weekly Danville Police log.

A customer test-drove a $3,000 bicycle last week at Pegasus Bicycle Works and never returned it—police are investigating the case, to try and recover the stolen bicycle. Supervisor Mary Piepho received a written threat at her office on Diablo Road Wednesday. There were shots fired and an arrest on Old Orchard Drive over the weekend—we will provide an update when more information is available about the shooting.

  • Petty theft on the 800 block of Brookside Drive at 1:56 p.m.
  • A $3,000 bicycle was stolen from Pegasus Bicycle Works on Railroad Avenue at 3:42 p.m., after a customer test-rode the bike without returning it. Police are still investigating this case to try and recover the stolen bicycle.

  • Vandalism on the 200 block of Morris Ranch Road at 11:12 p.m.
  • There was a shooting and arrest on the 600 block of Old Orchard Drive at 11:31 p.m. and we will post an update when more info is available about this incident.
