Pleasant Hill Police say that missing person Jason Adams was found in his truck in a parking lot in Reno, Nevada on Sunday. Police officials contacted Adams and determined he was in good health.

Original story:

Friends of a 31-year-old man from Pleasant Hill have been searching for him since Friday afternoon.

Jason Adams was last seen in the area of San Ramon on Friday morning, according to Pleasant Hill Police.

Adams was believed to have been headed to Dublin or Pleasanton in a truck when he was last seen.

According to an employee at Sola Salon located in the Home Depot shopping center Pleasanton, a female friend of Adams came by the salon Friday afternoon asking if any of the employees had seen Adams or his unique truck earlier in the day as they believed he was driving to the home improvement store at 6000 Johnson Drive to hire some of the day laborers to help him with a project in San Ramon.

Adams is described as a white male. He is 6-foot-1-inch tall and weighs about 155 pounds. Adams was wearing jeans, a dark t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

Pleasant Hill Police Sergeant Scott Vermillion says Adams is listed as an "at risk" missing adult because Adams' family is adamant the disappearance is very out-of-character for Adams. Adams has never been reported as missing before.

Pleasant Hill Police released the following information about Adams' disappearance:

Adams was reported missing by his family on the afternoon of Friday 5-16-2014. Per family Adams was going to a home improvement store in the Pleasanton/Dublin/San Ramon area prior to beginning a construction project. He checked in at the project site in San Ramon at 9:00 am prior to leaving for the hardware store.

He was last seen driving his off-white 1972 International Harvester pickup, which has a quad cab and long bed. The license plate is personalized, CA 1LONGIH. It is unknown if he made it to the hardware store.

He never returned home to Pleasant Hill later that night.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pleasant Hill Police Department Investigation Division 925-228-4630.

Well, I'm sure glad my dog wasn't kennled where he was working. I heard he went out to pick up medicines and supplies for the pets at the kennel he worked for. Ending up in Reno means somebodies pet didn't properly get the care it deserved. I'm glad the guy is okay but he sounds like he has "issues" that don't involve responsibility. Just saying.....

He ditches his friends, family, and job and flees the state while everyone is worried sick. I hope his gambling run was worth it. SELFISH

Seems as though there may be a mental health issue at play here, such is life. Glad he is ok, perhaps this was a wake up call to get the help he needs. As for Alex, glad you never make any mistakes, and have never had the need for grace of any kind. We need more people like you in world, to show us how it's done.

I said mistake, because I didn't feel you could grasp the complexities at play with what could very well be a mental illness. His family stated that leaving was out of character for him, that is why he wasn't considered to be at eisk, but this could be the time in his life when a mental illness could manifest. Again, the concept of grace, and a closer look at what could be at play in this situation, is lost on you. In fact, you went even further, and advised family to 'kick him out of the house'. Hopefully you will never find yourself on the receiving end of your kind of compassion. What I am saying, is that you don't know WHAT is going on here, yet you feel he should be booted out on to the street. People like you will never make sense to me, and never cease to amaze me.

Really ? second time in my life I have posted anything , just had to on this one. Has nothing to even do with the story rather the people grasping at reasons why this happened , amazing so many of us can be so simple minded , exact reason why politicians that shouldn't be in office are voted for , why racists ruled at one time , why the PC Police have become so strong in our country now you have to be careful of what you say in your private home. This is the root of so much negativity , MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS !!!! get your life straight , do for others , be American by not judging anyone without ALL THE FACTS , you may find yourself judged someday so treat others how you want to be treated , kindergarten stuff here folks !!!!
