Danville residents take a step out of their homes to meet their neighbors and get educated about cutting down on residential crime.
On a lovely, warm, Tuesday night, Danville residents all over town met their neighbors as part of National Night Out.
People in the Glasgow Circle neighborhood enjoyed some sweet treats and learned how they can help prevent residential crime in their neighborhood.
Danville Police officers introduced their K-9 force by demonstrating how their dogs can detect certain objects. The officers also displayed a scenario of getting pulled over and being written a ticket.

Everyone enjoyed talking to neighbors, eating, drinking, and playing around the block. Kids walked from table to table around the block devouring all the different sweets that were available— ice cream, cookies, fruit punch, etc. And parents took a night off from their original routine to chat with their neighbors.
