The Mt. Diablo Interpretive Association is teaming up with the State Park to restore, repair and replace the damage caused by the Morgan Fire, which burned more than 3,000 acres (nearly 5 square miles) on the eastern side of the mountain.

The Mt. Diablo Interpretive Association is an organization that was formed in 1974 to help the small staff of rangers at Mount Diablo State Park.

The Mt. Diablo State Park opened last week. Visitors are urged to stay on marked roads while respecting the trails closed.
