Injured Bicyclist Airlifted From Mt. Diablo
A bicyclist was rescued Monday afternoon from a spot on the mountain near Rock City.
Bay City News – An injured bicyclist was airlifted out of Mount Diablo State Park on Monday afternoon, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Kim French said.
The fire district received a report shortly before 1:15 p.m. that a bicyclist was injured near Rock City, an area on the south side of the park off of South Gate Road.
Information about how the person was hurt was not immediately available, but French was able to confirm that the person's injuries were serious enough that firefighters called for a helicopter.
