Hit-and-Run Causes Major Injuries on I-680 in Alamo

Officers are looking for a white truck and its driver which sideswiped a sedan, sending it into a ditch, before driving away from the scene.

A hit-and-run crash on northbound Interstate 680 at Livorna Road caused major injuries and backed up traffic Friday morning, the Contra Costa Times reports.

A white box-truck sideswiped an Infiniti L30 sedan, sending the sedan into a tree and a ditch below at about 10:05 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck then left the scene and officers are looking for the vehicle and its driver.

Two lanes were closed because of the accident, which have since reopened.
