Former SRVHS Athlete Pleads Not Guilty in Davis Sex Assault Case

Pierce Hunter will be back in court for a preliminary hearing May 27.

Pierce Hunter, the UC Davis student and San Ramon Valley High 2008 alum arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, entered a plea of not guilty last week.

The case will now go to a preliminary hearing May 27 in Yolo County Superior Court.

Hunter, 19, was arrested by UC Davis police on suspicion of attempted rape and forced oral copulation in the campus dorms. Police said the incident occurred more than two months ago.

Hunter, whose parents live in Danville and Pleasanton, is a former member of the UC Davis and San Ramon Valley High swim teams. At San Ramon Valley, he was the team's MVP in 2008 and received the team's career achievement award.
