The final suspect in last year's fatal jewelry store robbery was charged on Tuesday, according to the San Ramon Police Department.

Manuel Jovan Arroyo, 21, who was arrested last week in Oakland, was charged with murder and three counts of robbery.

The murder charge falls under the California's "provocative act" doctrine, which applies "when someone commits and act that provokes someone into killing someone else," according to the 'Find Law' website.

Arroyo didn't enter a plea, but his next court date is schedules for August 6, police say.

The fatal robbery occurred last May at the Gold N Treasures jewelry store when four men robbed the store at 2550 San Ramon Valley Blvd. During the robbery, 18-year-old Hayward resident Kibrom Bairu, was shot and killed by someone inside the store.

Police believe Arroyo is the final suspect who robbed the store.

Two other suspects, Hayward resident Krishneel Prasad, 20, and Gregory Lewis, 23, were arrested after the shooting and face similar charges.
