Danville Police confirmed Wednesday that 32 iPads were stolen from John F. Baldwin Elementary Tuesday night.
The iPads were swiped around 10:30 p.m. from a cart in a fifth grade teacher's classroom on Brookside Drive in Danville.
An email went out to parents from school Principal Darlene Hale, who wrote that students were disappointed but "handling the loss like champions."
The tablet computers retail for roughly $500.
Hale noted that one student said, “It’s a good thing it happened to our class rather than another class because we are mature enough to handle it.”
Anyone with information about the stolen iPads can contact the Danville Police at (925) 314-3700
